A Summer’s Day
It’s hot like a desert.
Kids screaming louder than seagulls finding food.
Dogs running around the water to keep cool.
The sand is hot like touching a cup of tea.
But once your feet touch the water it feels so good so relaxing.
The waters are salty and taste like fish.
The feeling of the beach sand
Dirty soil, loam, not earthy, moist rich even when wet.
Smoothing my skin clearing my mind.
I liked the use of space in the image. The photo really reflects what the poem is about because it talks about a day in the summer where a person feels very relaxed. I also like how the image is not too literal.
